well at first and most the mother should never by this for a kid when u wear a grill it actually rottens your teeth many people take this as being funny or tragic but really it just a fad really when a fad come around some people try to follow or lead their own really he was a fad chaser and his mom wanted to follow that fad even though maybe his friends and favorite rappers or stars have some plus at seven you really should wear a grill or at any age it rottens your teeth but i also belive that we all make mistakes. At the risk of sounding heartless, I’d just like to say that I’m glad it happened. I’m glad the child is OK, but at the very same time, I hope that this serves as a wake-up call to the child, and more importantly, to the mother. “Grills” are not cute. They perpetuate negative stereotypes. Let us take note that, surprisingly, the child was White. I was shocked, simply because I was expecting a Black child. I’m a Black woman attending a Black university, and I see this kind of nonsense all of the time. If the child swallowed the “grill” now, then maybe he will realize that they are the calling card of lower-class, BET-watching, uncouth, urban individuals. Before you lambast me, ask yourself: Would you trust a doctor with “grills” in his mouth? If the answer is yes, more power to you, as for myself, no thanks!
