The N-Word is “Dead” and “Buried”

I’M NOT SURE IF BURYING THE N-WORD WILL WORK » As promised, demonstrators at a week-long convention in Detroit, Michigan held a public mock funeral for the N-Word. We reported about this happening a couple of months ago, and it looks as though the NAACP actually followed through with it! It’s a shame it didn’t get much news coverage though, because this happened on Monday, and it’s now Friday and we’re just now hearing about it. So I’m not sure whether or not this “mock funeral” was just a waste of time. Read more about this over at BILLBOARD. The rest of the daily rundown can be found after the cut!

Eve’s a Lesbian

EVE, IS THERE SOMETHING YOU WOULD LIKE TO TELL US? » Blogger Jonathan Jaxson is claiming that Eve was spotted buying female hookers during her stay at the Setai Hotel in South Beach. According to his blog, he says: “One evening while being a guest in the hotel, Eve had ordered a female prostitute to her room. After several hours, the prostitute finally departed.” Fact or fiction? Danity Kane Is Pretty Much Kaput

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON WITH DANITY KANE? I swear, every day, more and more drama gets added to this whole Danity Kane fiasco. They’re getting more publicity now than they ever did back in the day when they first came out! In the midst of me typing this message (the original title read “Will Danity Kane Make it As a Trio?”), I was browsing MTV News and noticed a new article. Originally, Dawn posted on her MySpace saying:

“To answer all the rumors that’s been out there about Aubrey and D. Woods pursuing their solo careers. We support them in their decision. However, myself, Aundrea and Shannon are choosing to continue in our efforts to make Danity Kane the best for our fans who love us and what we represent AND the respect we have for our group.”

The above statement led me to believe that Aubrey and D. Woods were officially out of the group, and if it were to continue … it would do so as a threesome instead of the original fivesome. But according to MTV NEWS, that is definitely not the case! Both Aubrey and D. Woods have fired back on their respective MySpace pages addressing said rumors. This is what Aubrey O’Day had to say:

“Once again I would like to put to rest absurd rumors. I love being a member of Danity Kane and have always been down with DK musically,” she wrote. “I’m looking forward to a second DK album and I totally support all members of DK in all of their endeavors.”

And that’s not all! D. Woods wanted to clear the air as well:

“I felt the time has come for me to address the statements made about me concerning my status in Danity Kane,” she wrote. “I wasn’t going to, but things have spun out of control and a lot of people are wondering what’s up. … All I know is rumors are started every day and like I was always told, ‘As long as they talking about you,’ ” she wrote. “However the problem begins when those on the inside circle fuel the rumors and put out false statements and speak on behalf of those in question, namely me or anyone the rumor is about. It’s very messy, reads as malice, and is just not a good look all together.

“I won’t go into what was heard, but I will say that my time as a member of DK has been a rocky roller coaster with blows coming from all angles. I’ve been blessed to be a founding member of this group, so NO I haven’t left,” she continued. “I have extended myself in many ways and have been up front and inclusive about everything I’ve done since joining Danity Kane. I haven’t left the group, and when the time comes for us to pursue our other desires it will be in a much more professional manner.”

At this point, it would be a complete understatement for me to say that I am confused. Atlantic’s not commenting, Bad Boy’s not commenting, and Diddy’s not commenting. So for now, all we have is rough speculation from a group of confused females. All I can say is …

RIP DANITY KANE (2006 – 2007)
