RIHANNA - “SHUT UP AND DRIVE” » Although this is totally Fefe Dobson!!! I heard Rihanna and her were friends so I guess it’s ok, Rihanna looks so hot and hard in this video, this joint will definitely be a hit!It grew on me a bit, after seeing the video premiere, because now I love it. I wasn’t too sure about the single choice at all. By the way, Good Girl Gone Bad is in stores right now and if you haven’t already bought it you are crazy as the beat, and I will pray for you tonight.

R. KELLY - “SAME GIRL” » “Same Girl” is the second single, featuring Usher, from R. Kelly’s Double Up album in stores now, the video recently premiered exclusively on BET and later appeared on 106 and Park as the New Joint of the Day. In the video, during the first verse, R. Kelly is seen calling Usher at his home in Atlanta, telling him about a woman that he is in love with. As it turns out, Usher is dating the same girl as Kelly, who ends up flying out to meet up with Usher in the chorus. As the second verse begins, Usher picks up R. Kelly at the air port and the two talk about how they each met this girl in their home towns. Eventually, as the two play basketball together, the two come up with the idea to call this girl out on her lies, and show up at dinner with her together. However, at the end of the video, it is revealed that Usher and R. Kelly weren’t messing with the same girl, because the girl just happened to have a twin. Oops, I hope I didn’t spoil it for you, o’well… Blame Wikipedia!

Ciara feat. 50 Cent » “Can’t Leave ‘Em Alone” » LISTEN » (Full) » I know you all been seeing video shots everywhere well “Can’t Leave ‘Em Alone,” featuring 50 Cent, is the official third single from Ciara’s sophomore album Ciara: The Evolution. I want to slap her people, because although this is nice song, it isn’t all that great. They should have released “That’s Right” or maybe “Bang It Up”… something more dancy, especially since it’s summer time. But I guess they’re giving 50 Cent his shine because his album is coming out, this may be a smart thing, I really hope they release “My Love” as a single later along the road though.

Chamillionaire feat. Slick Rick » “Hip Hop Police” » LISTEN » (Full) » Dammit! I was really feeling “Not A Criminal,” but this was confirmed to be the first single from Chamillionaire’s sophomore album Ultimate Victory, the track features Slick Rick and production by Jonathan Rotem - so I guess that’s a plus and why I’m feeling this joint as well. I love Slick Rick, he’s such a story teller, his rhymes are unique and visual to me. I also love the material he contributed to Missy’s album, The Cookbook.

The 34th annual daytime emmys were held on June 15, 2007 at the Kodak Theatre in LA. The daytime emmys honor daytime television series and soap operas, along with the actors, directors, producers, and writers that make them up and help them to be what they are! Even “Sesame Street” was honored! That was my show back in the day, haha. And I was even more excited a few years back when I found out the voice of Elmo was black! FYI: Damn, it feels great to be back! Where the hell was I you ask? Well, to make a long story short, there was some digging on some property beside my house and the workers cut right through our cable line, leaving us without television and internet for the past 30 hours! Yeah, I was bored as hell, but luckily I had my BOONDOCKS SEASON 1 DVD to ease the pain. Obviously I couldn’t update here so I hope you didn’t miss me too much! Anyhow, for the next day or so I’ll be “playing catch-up” to post the things I missed out on in my blockage of the outside world (no tv and no internet is NO FUN … trust me!) By the way, if you’re looking for “Weekend Update” … THIS IS WEEKEND UPDATE! Now on to playing catch-up!

It seems like everyone has a rumor out about them being pregnant, except for the guys of course. Anyway, a blabber-mouthed source close to Nicole Richie and Joel Madden (her boo) said this:

“Joel and Nicole aren’t confirming anything until she’s 12 weeks or more. The baby was not a total accident, they are in a serious relationship and definitely want to get married eventually. Nicole thought it would be a good time to get pregnant — since her trial for DUI is coming up, she wanted to prove that she was 100% clean. Of course, the reason for her getting pregnant was not to get out of jail. She and Joel are very very happy. Every time I talk to him, he sounds less like the punk rebel he used to be, and more like a family man.”

Well, I think if she was even a week pregnant, she’d be showing by now… I mean c’mon, the girl weighs at most 90 pounds. She still looks like skin and bones and I see no pudge or “baby bump” what-so-ever, so maybe this is just a ploy to get some of the attention off the JAILBIRD? Hmm, I dunno … jealousy can be a bitch at times! But if she is pregnant, I feel sorry for that poor malnourished child.

M.I.A. - “BOYZ” » Okay, I have changed my mind about the single “Boyz” now over the past couple of months. It has grown on me really well and the video just completely swayed me through to the fact. “Boyz,” the newest single from the album Kala, by rapper M.I.A. is a really great club banger with it still having a hidden meaning. The video was shot in Jamaica, with wonderful production by Jay Will, by the way. I love the culture, dancing, vibrant colors - it is simply amazing. How wicked is this video?
