This years highlight of the BET Awards would definitely have to go to this chick, Ciara owned it (among other things) that night, she and Ms. Kelly did a really good job! And don’t you dare give me that “she can’t sing– she sucks!” mambo jumbo 1. she’s a performer that ultimately stepped her game up, proving why she is here right now, 2. well of course her vocals are going to be shot with all that dancing and gyration, I don’t care what anyone says or who’s the hotest chick in the game, it is physically impossible to dance like that on a stage with hot lights and sing at the same time without collapsing immediately – so artists lip sync, it’s perfectly fine. In Ciara’s case, I would strongly recommend she lip sync during performances like this. It’s ok, nobodies perfect!

I hated the awards and I hated B’s and Kelly’s performances, Kelly vocals were super low and tired when she first came out before she had been dancing. I love kelly and b but B’s performance this year is just horrible compared to last year. I think BET could have stepped up their game. Quite frankly I’m sick of BET.

Ciara killed it. She had the crowd engaged from start to finish. Not just the people in the very front who are put there to scream. She had so much energy on stage and brought excitment to a hum drum awards show. I don’t know where TI’s energy was that night. The crowd roared the loudest during Beyonce’s performance when she announced Kelly then when the rest of DC +1 appeared. No Ciara is not a great singer but she is a great Dancer. You can not say Beyonce is a great singer (b/c that category includes Whitney, Jen. Hudson, Mariah Carey, Patti Label, Gladys Knight, Aretha Franklin need I say more or a great dancer (Michael, Janet, James Brown, Gregory Hines). Ciara livened up an otherwise bland awards show. She had the most energy of the whole night. How many people can jump off the stage doing the Chinese splits, not Janet and definitely not Aalyiah. So what if Ciara lip synced during parts of her performance so did Beyonce. There is a reason Mo immitates Beyonce’s dance moves and not Ciara’s. Mo would have a heart attack within the first 30 seconds.

CIARA OWNED IT IS RIGHT. BET PLAYED HER FOR RATING AND ROBBED HER OF TWO AWARD. LIKE A BOY IS VIDEO OF THE YEAR. CIARA IS BEST R&B FEMALE BECAUSE SHE CAME BACK WITH STRONGER VOCAL AND A GROWN AND SEXY VIDEO PROMISE. CIARA GOT MY VOTE. B IS STARTNG TO LOSE CONFIDENCE AND IT SHOWING. ok hell yea…lol…she did own it…but i hate to say it she cant sing…beaming lights and w/e else the fuck u said does not change anything…i’ve seen plenty who can still sing && dance to a tip (i.e. Chris brown…) speaking of my hubby…lol ok…yea he was flipping out! lol but Bow was trying 2 act all nonchalant like aw she aint shit, but Chris made it known she was lol…funny how they’re friends…lol but i think she did that jus 2 make Bow’s ass mad…but i heard he’s dating Melanie from PCD…who honestly can sing better than CiCi, but shit who knows…she can keep her girating ass with 50…shit my bae was drooling over her ass lol…but ima b tha sideline girl && pick his mouth up off the floor…lol.

Ciara definitely had the best performance that night. But people are too far stuck up Beyonce’s overrated ass to see it. Not only that, but she got ripped off – she should have one at least one award. First BET fake with the dancers countdown now this. BET was in love with Ciara when she first came out now they don’t wanna give her her props. I truly believe Matthew Knowles and Columbia are paying BET to sweat Beyonce.
Aaliyah stans – please stop. Aaliyah has nothing to do with this thread. Stop bringing her up all the time and putting other female artists down to prove how talented she was. Ciara is her own artist and she is good at what she does.
