When I heard Gerald Levert had passed last year, I was more shocked than anything! It was just all of a sudden. Hell, it’s still a shock to me. Anyhow, his father, Eddie Levert, along with some great music icons / pioneers – Gladys Knight, Patti Labelle, and gospel artist Yolanda Adams did an amazing tribute with their rendition of “Wind Beneath My Wings.” Eddie looked like he was gonna cry, but I’m so proud of him lately. He’s still holding on. R.I.P. GERALD LEVERT! This was definitely the best performance of the night!

50 Cent? What the hell was he doing? They hyped up this performance like Jesus was coming back or something! “Pick what song you want 50 Cent to sing, blah blah blah!” I don’t think there was a “none of the above” option because I sure as hell would’ve picked that one.
