Superproducer Timbaland spent an hour behind bars in Germany early this morning after a violent bar brawl. The music mogul was temporarily held in custody in Cologne after a fight in the city left a 29-year-old Croatian man in the hospital with injuries to his rib cage and multiple bruises. Cologne police spokesperson Juergen Goebel says eye witnesses confirmed a heated argument between Timbaland – real name Timothy Mosley – and an unidentified man in the bar of the Intercontinental Hotel at 11:30 pm last night. The pair took their argument outside where it allegedly escalated into violence, with members of Timbaland’s entourage also reportedly joining in the brawl.
Sources claim the fight began when Timbaland began flirting with the man’s girlfriend. In an ensuing war of words, it is believed the producer took offense to a racial slur. According to Goebel, Timbaland was questioned and held in custody for approximately one hour. He was later released.
Damn Timbo! So we rollin like THAT now?!

Rappa ternt sanga T-Pain has one of the top singles in the country with ”Buy U A Drank,” but just a few years ago, the Florida Native couldn’t even by himself a drank, or a cheeseburger for that matter!T-Pain, born Faheem Najm, had tried for years to make it big in the industry, producing music for others as well as performing in the rap group Nappy Headz. But, operating on aspiration alone doesn’t pay. T-Pain was broke. Luckily for him, singer and producer Akon stepped in and signed T-Pain to his label Konvict Music.
AP: Did you ever think about giving up your musical dreams?
T-Pain: “Yes. The most horrible time was the day that Akon called me. He called me right when I went to get my application from McDonald’s. I was giving up. I was literally in my dad’s house renting my studio out, running it off of a generator outside. People couldn’t even record. The people who lived behind us was calling the police because of the noise ordinance because they heard the generator all day and all night. I was eating mayonnaise out of the jar. It was bad. I used to sit in front of McDonald’s and ask people for dollars to get me a cheeseburger. It was bad. Then that one day I went to go get that application. I had been hanging out in front of there so much I knew the managers and all. I had no problem getting a job or anything. I went to go get that application and that’s when Akon called me.”
Hmm, I wonder what life would be like for T-Pain (and the rest of us) if his phone was turned off!!

NEYO – ON RUMORS OF BEING GAY »
“For one, I’m an R&B singer, so that’s one strike against me anyway. I’ve never been the thuggish dude. This is the way I look at it now. For one, you’re nobody ’til they think you’re gay – that’s the truth of the business. Two? You really gotta take the good with the bad. I was having a conversation with my management and the label, and they said, ‘We’ve really got to get you out in public more because after they say you’re a great songwriter, what else is there to say? Nobody knows anything about your lifestyle.’ I think that’s why the gay thing was so easy to believe, because it was one of the only things that came out about me that didn’t have to do with music.”
MOBY – ON BEING A VAMPIRE »
“If a vampire approached you and said: ‘With your consent I’ll bite you and you’ll have immortality but you’ll never see the sun again.’ would you say ‘ok’? Yes, call me crazy, but I think that being a vampire would be fantastic.

My December is the third studio from Kelly Clarkson and will be released (to the United States) June 26th along with the singles “Never Again” and “Sober”. I listened to the album recently, I really wanted to post a couple tracks, it sounds really good but the quality, not so good. For the most part it’s enough to get you through until the release date. A lot of rock inspirations, pop, and a little techno surprisingly, my favorite tracks are “Sober,” “Don’t Waste Your Time, ” “Judas,” “Haunted,” “Can I Have A Kiss” damn- I might as well just say the whole damn album! Man I can’t wait for this to drop cause the quality, again, is terrible but I can’t complain! The lyrics are so strong and make deep statements but so simplistic at the same time. You might as well call the album a “Confessions of a Broken Heart,” although that album and this album are completely different :slaps myself for saying that: but the concept and rawness of both are uncanny. I can also say, that along with Rihanna, Kelly is also rebelling a little bit. From when she first started out she was all bubble gum and innocent but now it is definitely a difference in style, sound, just overall “image” you could say. I’m actually feelin’ the female empowerment and rebellion going on.

Dip Set Byrdgang member Stack Bundles was reportedly killed early Monday morning (June 11) in his hometown of Far Rockaway in the New York City borough of Queens. Police have not yet released details on the case, however DJ Envy at New York radio station Hot 97 announced on the air that Stack had been shot to death. Envy also reported that Stack was seen at New York nightclub Stereo as late as 4:30 a.m. on Monday. While he hadn’t yet attained widespread popularity, mixtape fans have been aware of Bundles’ lyrical skills for several years. The rapper, who also led his own Riot Squad crew, first began attracting major attention as a member of DJ Clue’s Desert Storm family. His work on freestyles alongside more established MCs, such as then-camp members Fabolous and Joe Budden, let the scene know immediately he could hold his own weight.
While he worked to secure a label deal, Stack released a myriad of solo mixtapes and appeared on Clue’s street CDs. Last year, he popped up on Jim Jones’ M.O.B. (Members of Byrdgang) mixtape (the same mixtape that introduced Jones’ monster smash “We Fly High”), along with the currently incarcerated Max B. Jones told MTV News last year that Stack had approached him one night in a club, and the only thing he liked more than Stack’s audacity was his skill on the mic. Jones planned to not only release Stack’s solo debut, but also to highlight him on Byrdgang releases as well. On Monday morning, MTV News reached out to a grieving Jones, who said he needed some time to get his thoughts together before speaking on the death of his friend and artist.
I really didn’t know who Stack Bundles was because I’m more of a mainstream music listener, but never-the-less this is sad to hear. RIP to Stack Bundles and my thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family at this time.

WHAT’S SHAKIRA DOING WITH AVRIL LAVIGNE?? » Shakira and Avril Lavigne had a “casual” dinner together at Crustaceon in Beverly Hills. The starlets were all smiles taking pictures with fans, then left in different cars. They both headed to Hyde Lounge, leaving from the back entrance before making their way back home. Let’s just hope and pray to our Heavenly Father above that these two aren’t discussing a possible “rock remix” of Beautiful Liar! CONTINUE READING

Here are a few snaps of Antonio Banderaz, Justin Timberlake, Cameron Diaz, and Austin Powers (pictured above) at the Shrek the 3rd Premiere yesterday in Berlin, Germany! I haven’t had a chance to check out the movie yet, but I’m not hearing such good things about it. I don’t wanna waste $8.50 + tax … so I’ll probably just wait ’til it comes out on DVD in a few months when I can get it for free.
