For Double Up R. Kelly expands his hit-making collaborative efforts and enlists a diverse roster of musical guests that includes Usher, Kid Rock, Nelly, Chamillionaire, T.I., T-Pain, Huey, Ludacris, Keyshia Cole, and Swizz Beatz. Double Up is R. Kelly’s ninth solo release since his smash solo debut 12 Play. Mr. R. Kelly dominates the music charts with his latest LP, Double Up, the number 1 best selling R&B album in the country and it looks like its receiving some great reviews too! Now with the whole situation he’s facing now, child pornography? I commend him through the trail process, everyone is human, we all make mistakes. I haven’t seen the alleged video nor do I intend to, but I hear that the whole rendezvous, it appears like, was nothing but consensual and I don’t recall this young hoe (obviously she’s done this before) reporting to her defenses but her aunt. So, and I also believe in the aspect “innocent until proven guilty.” R. Kelly has done really nothing wrong, they don’t even have enough evidence to prove anything, with all the advance technology we have this day and age. Anyway, back to the review, the album is just ok – nothing more or less – but a die hard R. Kelly fan might beg to differ so again, I leave it at that for your discretion. In my opinion, he has indeed gotten a little reckless, watering down his lyrics to the masses, and he is getting older so I wouldn’t recommend going that route but as Mr. Carter so eloquently said, “men lie, women lie, numbers don’t.” So again, I leave it up to the consumer’s discretion. But may I add Usher and Kellz tore “Same Girl” up
