WEEKEND UPDATE!

LINDSAY LOHAN IS TRYING TO KILL HERSELF

LINDSAY LOHAN IS TRYING TO KILL HERSELF » Looks like somebody had a pretty fun Memorial Day weekend! While you were eating barbecue ribs and playing cards with your relatives, Lindsay Lohan was drinking herself into oblivion. And before she did all that, she crashed her black Mercedes into a curb near the Beverly Hills Hotel and was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving and of possession of illegal drugs. What the flip? According to the New York Post, after her drinking escapade, Lohan had dropped her sunglasses and cigarettes on her way out of the hotel, then collapsed when she bent to pick them up. A bouncer had to lift her into the car. Lohan was photographed in the passenger seat of her SUV early Monday morning with her eyes shut and mouth open, appearing to be passed out after a night of partying Teddy’s at the Roosevelt Hotel. Lohan’s pal, DJ Samantha Ronson can be seen in the driver’s seat trying to wake Lindsay. I swear, this bitch can’t hold her liquor! Obviously, someone will be checking themselves into “rehab” this week! Lohan is to appear in court August 24. Looks like it’s easier to spot celebrities in court rather than stalking their houses! Brandy: “Hell no! It ain’t even goin down like that!”Brandy and a man who was hurt in a deadly freeway crash involving her Range Rover are suing each other. Brandy, whose real name is Brandy Norwood, and Mallory Ham of Simi Valley accuse each other of negligence in lawsuits filed last week in Superior Court. In court papers filed Wednesday, the 28-year-old singer-actress contends that Ham caused the Dec. 30 crash on the San Diego Freeway in Sherman Oaks. She also denies allegations made against her in a previous lawsuit, asserts her Fifth Amendment privileges against self-incrimination and requests a jury trial. Ham’s lawsuit, filed Friday, contends Brandy drove recklessly and seeks unspecified damages. Brandy had no immediate comment on the lawsuit.

“She’s just responding to pieces of litigation as they come in and doesn’t want to comment at this time,” Edwin McPherson, an attorney representing Brandy, said Tuesday.

A California Highway Patrol report said Brandy’s 2007 Range Rover failed to slow in traffic and was doing 65 mph when it struck another car that in turn was hit by Ham’s vehicle. The crash killed Awatef Aboudihaj, 38, of Los Angeles. Her husband has sued both Brandy and Ham for reckless driving. Aboudihaj’s parents and her two children also have separate lawsuits pending against Brandy. The city attorney’s office is still deciding whether to charge Brandy with misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter, spokesman Frank Mateljan said Tuesday. If charged and convicted, she could face up to a year in jail and a $1,000 fine.

Uh-oh, Brandy ain’t playin! I’m sure she’s tired of these people coming after her about this. Hell, I’d be too … she already has to face what she has done. How much y’all wanna bet they wouldn’t even give this a second thought if she weren’t a celebrity?? The price of fame…

David “DC” Yeager, formerly known for making the young women go crazy with his smooth R&B vocals in the hot late-90’s singing trio Youngstown (ironically from Youngstown, Ohio) is back and better than ever. If you still don’t recall, Youngstown had their very first hit song a while back called “I’ll be your everything” and were signed to Hollywood Records. Well anyway, I couldn’t help to noticed this talented young man’s true singing ability, so much so to the point he is now hooked up in a duet with R&B sensation Ne-Yo for the song “Let Me Know,” and let me tell you, he hasn’t lost his touch one bit! I also like the song “Not What You’re Use To” a lot, but please don’t take my word for it- have a listen for yourself! And make sure you check DC Yeager out on his official Myspace and add him as a friend!

    BABY BOY DA PRINCE

Baby Boy da Prince - Across The Water

Out of the West Bank of New Orleans comes the Prince of The City…Baby Boy da Prince. His career began at the age of 16 opening up for No Limit Records artist Choppa. Baby Boy created a name for himself in New Orleans with a lavish on stage performances and catchy feel good records. Then in 2004 he stepped from behind the scenes and into the spotlight hooking up with a local management company, Bosshogg Entertainment (B.G., Juvenile, Choppa). After years of hard work, Bosshogg Entertainment inked a deal with indie label Extreme Entertainment. Baby Boy hit the road in early 2005 to spread his music and fan base further outside of New Orleans. He went on tour opening for platinum acts, Juvenile, Paul Wall, 50 Cent, and many more. Then in August 2005 Baby Boy’s world came crumbling down as New Orleans was hit by Hurricane Katrina. Throughout the ordeal he vowed that he would get his life together and continue his dream of becoming one of Hip-Hops newest stars. Living in a FEMA trailer, Baby Boy began writing new material for his upcoming album. He continued to do shows in New Orleans to show his fans support. In 2006 Q93 in New Orleans began to play his hit single “The Way I Live”. The single became an instant hit and in 3 weeks was the number 1 record at the station. Baby Boy had reached a new plateau and proved that his music could perform with the best artists in the country. The buzz in the city started to spill over and major labels began to take notice. Universal Republic Records jumped on the opportunity and signed Baby Boy as their premiere Hip Hop act. Baby Boy’s hard work and dedication brought him out of the trials and tribulations that affected him throughout his career. His music is a testament to the revival of New Orleans and the people who live in it.

Lol this is something a friend of mine recently pointed out to me. Honestly, I had no idea that’s what those “ghetto” hispanic girls were called. Where do they come up with stuff like this .. and who starts it?? Check out a short description of a “Chonga” taken from a wikipedia entry below…

Chonga: A girl of Hispanic origin, usually between the ages of 12 and 19, but sometimes as young as 8. Primarily found in largely Hispanic cities in America (such as Los Angleles), but are most common in Miami (most famously, in Hialeah) and high schools such as Mater Academy, Barbara Goleman, HML,American Heritage,Everglades highschool, Flanigan high schools, and the mother of all chonga schools Hialeah High. The chonga is known for her cheap form of dress, a combination of the so-called gangstalook and that of a prostitute, but can vary between the two. She wears ridiculously large hoop earrings large enough to be bracelets, which are usually gold and have their name written in them, and diamond studs high up on her ears. They may also wear thick, gold bangle bracelets in stacks on their arms. They also wear tight shirts that reach their belly ring that say, ” Baby Girl” or “I love my Papi Chulo.” Depending on how ghetto she thinks she is, she may wear oversized men’s t-shirts with tight, usually white Brazilian pants, with a colored thong worn underneath that shows through (on purpose). The chonga’s shoe of choice is usually either the traditional black Reeboks, white Nike Air Force Ones, completely black Converse high tops, velvet black ankle boots, or the most popular, Chinese beaded slippers in the same matching color as their top, and worn with ankle socks. Most recently, Chongas have begun listening to reggaeton, but also enjoy rap, R&B, and the radio stations that play these genres of music. They can also be heard frequently calling these stations to make “shout-outs” to their babydaddy.

Funny shit, huh! That description had me rollin! - especially that last part about making shout-outs to their “babydaddy” on the radio!! And that video is the epitome of a HAM (Hot Ass Mess). Thanks for the laugh Erick!

    50 Cent Covers Vibe - July 2007

Real talk when I first saw that cover photo of fiddy on Vibe, I didn’t think it was a real picture. Doesn’t it look like one of those cartoon personality sketches you get made at the fair? Where they draw you with a really big head and a small body? Anyhow, 50 Cent is on the cover of the July 2007 issue of Vibe Magazine that hits stands in a couple of weeks. I’m pretty sure they address that wack-ass beef between Cam’Ron among other things, so it should be a pretty good read … if you can get over that scary ass cover shot!
