New Artist Alert: DG Yola

Nineteen-year-old Mario Talley, aka Da Great Yola, hails from the Allen Temple section of Atlanta, GA. In 2003 at the age of 13, Yola began rapping and caught the attention of current manager and partner in Power Hittas Records, Lady B. He was constantly spitting flows, while at the time working in her restaurant and it wasn’t long before it was apparent that the youngster had a knack for the craft.

Yola has performed at the hottest clubs in the ATL and is now beating up the streets with his hit single “Ain’t Gon Let Up.” This Next Generation superstar has a unique style that is universal and captures listeners from all walks of life. His music bridges the gap between the North, South, East and West Coast Genres’ of music. More importantly Yola’s stage presence and performance swagger, set him apart from other down South rappers. He is bringing “Gutta Music” back to the scene at a time where “Snap Music” is at an all time high. As Yola would say “I brought it back to the block!”

Family Ties/Dangerous LLC/Atlantic recording artist Deemi is set for the world premiere of her eagerly anticipated debut video, “Soundtrack of My Life,” based on a true story. The companion clip – directed by Syndrome (Pretty Ricky, Lupe Fiasco, Mike Jones) – to the Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter’s rising R&B smash was unveiled March 2nd on the “World’s Most Dangerous Site,” AllHipHop.com.

“Soundtrack of My Life” will impact at Urban radio outlets nationwide in April, having already taken New York City by storm with raved-about rotation on the city’s influential Hot 97. Deemi’s much anticipated debut album, also dubbed “SOUNDTRACK OF MY LIFE,” is slated to drop into stores coast to coast on June 5th. “Deemi has taken her truly remarkable real life experience and turned it into a riveting personal soundtrack with universal appeal,” said Atlantic Records Chairman/CEO Craig Kallman. “Since signing her to Atlantic, we have watched her channel her personal stories of deep struggle and ultimate survival into the creation of a moving album of extraordinary power, spirit, and emotion. 0302_kelis_booking_ex.jpgSinger Kelis was arrested early Friday morning in Miami Beach after screaming racial obscenities at two female police officers who were posing as prostitutes. Damn. She’s bossy! The officers were working an undercover operation in South Beach, when cops say Kelis started screaming racial slurs at the women. She continued screaming and rushed toward them, and had to be restrained by friends, a police report said. According to the report, Kelis’ “actions caused people walking by to stop and form a crowd. The sidewalk was blocked by the disturbance, causing people to walk in the street and causing traffic to stop.” Kelis, the wife of rapper Nas, was charged with two misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and for resisting arrest. A rep for Kelis had no comment.

I’m mad at that mugshot! rotflmfao .. yeah, she IS Bossy!!

Well here’s Lloyd’s newest video – “Get It Shawty.” I have got to admit, when Lloyd first hit the scene with that tired ass song he had with Ashanti, I had to go to sleep on him – sorry, but I had no other choice! But this new album appears to show some growth, either that, or these first 2 singles are the only songs worth something on the album (which I hope is NOT the case). But anyhow, this song does not top “Want You f/ Lil Wayne” by any means, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that it’s still hot! Anyhow, check out “Get It Shawty” below!

Sorry folks and teeny-boppers worldwide, but Christopher Brown best known as “Chris Brown” does not have any pics of his man-meat online. So if you were dumb enough to pay $10 for a few pics, then unfortunately you paid to see some other guy’s thing-thing. Chris Brown’s record label has said that it was not him, and “He doesn’t have any pornographic pictures of him in his sidekick and it hasn’t been hacked.” For those of you who don’t know what the hell I’m talking about, check this out!
