Who Owns the Track? Fantasia vs Monica!

I wanted to try out this new feature to the site, called “Who Owns the Track?” Where I find some similar songs of artist, post them on Think2wice and you tell me which song is the best and which artist “owns the track.” Now our lucky artists for the very first “Who Owns the Track?” are FantasiaÂ and Monica, they’ve recently record two singles, “No Stoppin,” both of which were recorded and produced by my favorite of all Missy “Misdemeanor” Elliott! Well I think both ladies held it down very nicely but the version I most liked was Fantasia’s, now I could be wrong since I’m a Fantasia fan, but I love her soulness on this joint and the song fits her more naturally; Monica’s version was very boring to me, but again, I could be wrong! Which is why I need you to tell me which one is the best! Listen to both versions below and make your decision! Also check out a special mix of both these ladies by MellyMell.

To be honest…I like them both…but I like Monica’s a lot more. I don’t know, seems like Tasia is screaming moreso thatn singing…IMO…but they both did good!

No matter what Fantasia sings someone thinks she is yelling. Come on give the girl her props, she did well on this as did Monica. I prefer Fantasia’s version as it has a little more soul and you can feel every word, as is the case with most things that she sings, she just knows how to tell a story through song. Monica’s version is a little more laid back. Fantasia’s voice is so rich and full. As I said both ladies did their thing each adding something different, it’s just a matter of taste. I really like the collaboration between the two. Really good.

I don’t know what it is about Fantasia but her voice makes everything seem so much more important. Monica’s version was a nice cook-out, steppin jam but some how Fantasia made into a song with an almost serious meaning. In the middle and end where it got kind of repetitive and boring Fantasia’s adlibs kept it interesting.
Long story short, I think Fantasia’s version was better, plus that thick tone her voice has is just amazing to me.

I prefer Monicas version better the beat is more laid back and dont feel that all the screaming was nessessary, dint get me wrong fantasias version was tight and the screaming does it on some songs but not all

FANTASIA ROCKED HER VERSION. SHE IS THE BEST!!!! I’M SORRY MONICA BUT FANTASIA WON THIS ONE.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Overall i think FAntaisa’s career will do much better than Monica’s career.I mean look at what Fantasia has done already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yal know yal my girls but i think fantasia and monica are my girl but i think my girl fantasia did it she did real good with dat rite dere. and im and thinking that fantasia ceree is way better going than monicas because the reson why i say dat iz monica stop for a while but i bet if she was still going shed of own dat track ! 4 real but i still got love and always love 4 monica but fantasia do yo thang girl HALLA HALLA AT ME CHEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fantasia, FANTASIA, FANTASIA…. wow that just goes to show you how talented and gifted fantasia is that she can take the same song and blow it out of the water

I most definately think Fantasia is BETTER…..it has more soul into than Monica’s version!!!!

I like Monica’s better.The beat is laid back and Monica added that laid back style to it..I mean Fantasia doing her thang,but that beat just isn’t made for her.

I think Fantasia version is better than Monicas i mean dont get me wrong Monica good and all but when Fantasia sings her songs has a real meaning but wit Monica u can jus dance to it but wit Fantasia u can dance to it but it has meaning to it.
