New Artist Alert: DG Yola

Nineteen-year-old Mario Talley, aka Da Great Yola, hails from the Allen Temple section of Atlanta, GA. In 2003 at the age of 13, Yola began rapping and caught the attention of current manager and partner in Power Hittas Records, Lady B. He was constantly spitting flows, while at the time working in her restaurant and it wasn’t long before it was apparent that the youngster had a knack for the craft.

Yola has performed at the hottest clubs in the ATL and is now beating up the streets with his hit single “Ain’t Gon Let Up.” This Next Generation superstar has a unique style that is universal and captures listeners from all walks of life. His music bridges the gap between the North, South, East and West Coast Genres’ of music. More importantly Yola’s stage presence and performance swagger, set him apart from other down South rappers. He is bringing “Gutta Music” back to the scene at a time where “Snap Music” is at an all time high. As Yola would say “I brought it back to the block!”
